Merry LEGO Christmas

There is always something each year, I remember Elf-ing myself and the rest of my family but here is one that Evan will love playing!

Evan has some great friends.

He was so happy to get presents from his friends.  We took some photos to make our own photo postcards as Thank You cards.

First BBall Game

Ian played his first basketball game with the 7th grade boys on Saturday night.  They ended up losing by 2 points in the last couple of seconds.  But they shouldn't hang their heads because they played really well together!!

Cub Scouts and Santa

Evan's Pack had their Christmas Party Friday night.  They sang some songs, Santa came and brought all the boys Pinewood Derby Cars and they made planes out of popsicle sticks and then had milk and cookies.

Snow Days and Santa

We had two snow days in a row and this morning we are in a two hour delay.  Worked out good for me because my alarm didn't go off this morning so I needed to the extra two hours!!

Here are some pictures of our snow day fun and a visit to Santa.

DD 2013 - December 1st

Advent Calendars - This year instead of purchasing the Lego Advent calendar, we decided to make our own out of this little wreath of boxes that we found at Target.  We bought mini-figures from Lego,  Doctor Who and Halo because we know the boys will really play with and love those.  Each day has a new guy in it and the boys have to take turns opening the boxes.  We also bought lots of Andes Mints and used the little tree shaped calendar for a little treat that the other one can open.

Ian got to open it on Dec 1st and he got a little Cyberman from Doctor Who.  Evan opened it on Dec 2nd and got a Lego elf.  On Dec 3rd, we got a little yellow Halo dude.  We'll find out who we get on Dec 4th tonight once the boys get home from school.

Holy Cow, It's December Already!!

Well Thanksgiving is over, visitors are gone and kids are back in school.  I sat down today and worked on my 2013 DD album!!

I loved the pockets from the December Documented line from Simple Stories but I used the big one on my 2012 album so I made my own from some old holiday paper and embellishments.  I wasn't sure how I liked it but I'm warming up to it, I'll probably like it more when cards are in it at the end of the season and it isn't just brown.
