Goodbye 2014

I just paid my bills for the month and realized this is the last time I'll probably write 2014 (until I get caught up in my scrapbooking and have to write it on all the layouts LOL).  I don't know that 2014 was earth movingly great or anything but it was a good year.

I saw Disney on both sides of the country this year with my 3 favorite guys.
Disneyland Jan 2014
Disney World Dec 2014
I didn't lose any weight, I probably actually gained 6 pounds give or take but I did make sure I was in more pictures with my family this year!!
Me and my boys before going up to the top of the Washington Monument!
I did some things I never thought I would do before like go tubing down the side of mountain in the snow and tubing down a river over rapids (the boys are trying to talk me into actual white water rafting in 2015).
Yep those are my feet and yes I'm on a river!!
I started playing Dungeons and Dragons with my boys and we all love it because we get to spend time laughing together.  I read a lot of books but didn't make it to my GoodReads goal of 52 but I did get 47 books read this year.

Well anyways goodbye 2014.  It was nice knowing you.  And Hello 2015, I'm hoping we'll be good friends!!

Happy 43rd Anniversary to my parents!

I called them today to wish them a Happy Anniversary.  I always forget to send them a card since their anniversary falls right in between Evan's birthday, Christmas, New Year's and Darren's birthday. It always just kind of gets lost in there.  But I love them and I am proud to know how much they love each other.

Although I wish it wasn't quite so many years because that just means I'm getting older too.  LOL!

Darren had to head back to work today, so the boys and I just kind of puttered around the house.  I let them play with their video games for awhile but I finally made them go upstairs and write Thank You notes and the big one work on his Science Fair project stuff for awhile so I could have the basement to myself.  I scrapped this page.  It isn't fancy but my goal is to start scrapping more in 2015 and getting more pages in my books and not worry so much.

I'm hoping in 2015 that I can use up some of my scrapping supplies before we move this summer!

A Merry Christmas To You!!!

I got really spoiled this year, the boys had their pictures taken and framed for me because I really wanted a newer one the two of them together.  I also got a pretty green Vera Bradley purse and wallet and a new three stone diamond ring!

The boys did pretty good too.  Santa ("finally") brought them the Lego Death Star, even though they have only been asking for it for the last 5 years.  Ian also got some new purple headphones and a video game he was wanting.  Evan got a Minion bathrobe and pajamas and some other legos that he wanted.  They both got money from their grandparents on Darren's side and I'm sure they already have it spent in their heads.

Darren got a cordless saw and a new solid state drive for his computer.

All in all, it was a really nice relaxing Christmas morning.

Happy 10th Birthday Evan

I can't believe he is 10 years old already!  Where has the time gone -- stop growing!!

Disney World Day 4 -- Hollywood Studios

Got there really early because we were told that it opened at 8AM but it didn't so we spent an hour in line playing the new Heads Up game for the iPhone but we were first in line.  We went straight to Star Tours and got Evan signed up to be a Jedi.  Then we rode Star Tours three times with NO LINES!  It was awesome!!

Darren and Ian did the Tower of Terror but again Evan and I decided that the ground was much safer. Ian really loves the big roller coasters and was so impressed with that one!

For lunch we had reservations at the Sci Fi Drive In and that was neat experience.  I am glad we did it because the kids really enjoyed it and now they know what a drive in movie is!  And yes, our table is a car!!

After lunch, we met Phineas and Ferb and watched the Frozen Sing A Long, which all three boys complained about wasting our FastPass on but really enjoyed it in the end and have been repeating lines from it all day!

After that, it was Evan's big debut as a Jedi!!  He even got on stage and got to fight Darth Vader!!

And as we were finishing dinner and getting ready to leave it started to pour, perfect timing for the end of a perfect vacation!!

Disney Day 3 -- Hoop Dee Doo Review

We spent the afternoon back at Epcot so the big boys could ride Test Track again as single riders and Evan and I went and played the Great Piggy Bank Game again.

We had dinner reservations for the Hoop Dee Doo Review at Camp Wilderness.  Great show, awesome food!

Disney World Day 3 -- Animal Kingdom in the morning

Today we knew we would be hopping parks because Animal Kingdom doesn't take that much time.  But it is a really peaceful park.  We got there shortly after opening and made our way over to the Dinosaur ride first.  We actually got to ride it twice without waiting in line.

Then we went over to Expedition Everest and Evan and I decided it was too much of a roller coaster for us!!  But Dad and Ian did it and Ian loved it!!

That's them in the last seats on the train, you can see Ian's arms up in the air!!

We also did the safari tour of animals which Evan liked a lot because it was slow, although he did ask if the lions were going to be able to come right up to the truck.

Disney World Day 2 -- Epcot

We had a busy day scheduled for Epcot.  We got there for the rope drop.

We met characters in the morning.  But first we had time to play the Great Piggy Bank Game which was Evan's favorite!

We stopped in Norway even though my favorite ride was closed down so they can make a new "Frozen" ride.  :(  They still had the big trolls though.

We also met Donald Duck in Mexico!  I can say that we walked around the world twice today!!

After walking around the world, we went back to the rides and waited in line for the best ride (totally worth either doing single rider or using one of your FastPasses on - we know better for next time) -- TEST TRACK!!  It was fast and even Evan loved it!  Had to get a picture for Grandpa Kotz with the new 2015 Corvette at the end.

That night we had reservations in Japan for dinner and then the Candlelight Procession.  It was AWESOME!!
