Project Life

So I hopped on the bandwagon... kind of. I decided to try catching up on my scrapbooking by going the Project Life direction. So here is my title page for the year 2008!

Let's see if I can get caught up!!
((sorry for the really cruddy photo, I took it with my phone))

Guess who finished a marathon?

No it wasn't me!  Gosh no, I can't even wrap my head around wanting to run for 26.2 miles.  Darren did it and finished in 4 hours and 34 minutes.  I can't even imagine running for 34 minutes straight much less the other four hours.  Do you know how many things I can do in FOUR HOURS!?!?!

Well anyways, Darren has completed his first marathon.  He's says he'll only run another one if I want to run one.  I think he is thinking it is a safe bet that will never happen.  Maybe I should start training!  LOL

Fisheye Fun

I'm still here, just been really boring in cold grey Korea.

So I added to my camera bag this weekend and got a 8-15mm fisheye lens for my camera.  I wasn't sure if I would like it or not but now that I have it, I am having so much fun taking pictures of things.

First thing I did was just run out into the hallway of our apartment building.  Standing in the corner, I could look down both hallways at one time!!

With this lens it looks like we live in a fun house!!  Bendy walls and doors, the black and white floors really suit this lens -- must find black and white checked floor!!!

The next afternoon, I took it outside and standing right in front of our building I took a picture of the WHOLE building!

Here is the entire family housing complex taken from across the street in the gazebo.  And yes, that road is straight!  :)

This is one of my favorites, I think I will be taking lots of pictures of the sky and ceilings from now on.  In this one I am laying on the picnic table in the same gazebo as I took the last picture.  I love that you can see my knees and all three housing apartment buildings!!

Just me and my shadow.  Makes my legs look long (but trust me -- from other photos that I took of my feet without my coat on, this lens will make the tiniest of pot bellies look pregnant!)!

HAHA, I can even get this building all in one shot!  And it is long, see the photo of the three buildings, this one is the one in the middle.

This will do some creative things to faces.  Here's Evan standing in our living room.

Ian too, I love how close I can get with this camera and still get his whole face and it will focus like a dream! I love this lens!!!
And it really doesn't even look like Ian!!

My boys - the FASHION PLATES

The boys participated in the Painted Door Thrift Shop Fashion Show today to help them with their spring sale!  They had a blast with their friends other Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts showing off the outfits they picked out from the racks.

50 miles and a lost tooth

Evan lost another tooth today.  I think that is number 3 for him if I am correctly counting.  The other top one if loose but still not ready to come out!  (which is good because the tooth fairy is running low on golden dollars)

Evan also passed the 50 mile mark in the Camp Humphreys Running Club last Thursday and was awarded his team shirt.  He was so proud, he wants to wear his shirt to bed!!

I'm trying to finish up some of last week's memory planning while I wait to leave to pick Evan up from his Robotics Executive mee...
