Second Day In A Row (aka - at least he made it through dinner tonight)

I think now that our summer vacation has started it is taking it out of little Evan. This is him "watching" Star Wars the Clone Wars on TV after dinner.



I hear thunder in the distance, maybe we will get a little much needed rain!!

OK I admit dinner wasn't that great but....

I don't think it was so bad that people would fall asleep during it.

Pool Party!!

Our friend Kimberlee had a birthday party at her neighborhood pool and the boys had a blast!! We haven't been to the pool in a week since VBS was last week and we didn't want to push it with Ian's tonsils.

Evan is becoming quite the little fish. I guess more of those swimming lessons sunk in than we thought!

Last Day of VBS and a Trip to CEC

Today is the last day of Vacation Bible School (aka = I don't have to wash these shirts again this week!!).
Afterward I promised the boys if they were good we could go and play at Chuck E Cheese's!! Which they loved! We actually met quite a few people there that we knew and it was a big hit! If the temps stay up in the 100s like they have been I foresee lots of trips there!!

My good friend Elise took me and the boys out for dessert at Chili's on my birthday and we shared a calorie packed White Chocolate Molten Lava Cake!! It was so funny!!

OK so he gets his dancing ability from me. I admit it!!! But I have to say I have never brakedanced!! Wish I would have pulled the camera out earlier because he was really grooving!!

Tonsils no more!!

Today Ian got his tonsils removed! It was pretty quick and he has bounced back quickly!! Couple of quick pictures from in the hospital. I tried really hard to get a picture of his huge tonsils but couldn't!

Birthday Party Krispy Kreme Style

OK since December of last year when we made our first trip with the boys to a Krispy Kreme store Ian has wanted to have his birthday party at Krispy Kreme donuts!!

It was a lot of fun, they took care of everything!! The kids all had a tour of the facility, that got to decorate their own donut (and eat it), they had a face painter, and a HUGE cake made out of donuts!!

And after getting home the boys (all three of them) had to break out Ian's new water guns and cool off since it was so hot outside!!

Cub Scout Day Camp

Ian has been at Cub Scout Day Camp all week long and has been loving every minute of it. The whole family went up on Friday afternoon for the awards ceremony and also so Ian could show me how good he is getting with the bow and arrow and the BB gun!! If we lived out in the country somewhere I would probably be getting him a BB gun for his birthday next week because that thing puts a smile on his face like nothing else (ok except maybe Star Wars or Legos)!!

Ian was awarded the Faith award for helping out without being asked and for not being afraid to show his faith.


After the awards ceremony we went over to the range with him.





I'm pretty darned proud of this kiddo!!

OK so last round of the ScrapAttack Scrapbooking University I was a total dropout and I didn't get my charm!! BUT the next round is coming up starting on JUNE 15th and I plan on getting my charm this time!! Dinosaur Tracks

I took Evan to see the dinosaur tracks at the Texas Hill Country Heritage Museum. It was ok, Evan was worried that we were going to see REAL dinosaurs and I was a little disappointed that you couldn't get closer to the tracks to check them out.

I am a touchy person when it comes to that kind of stuff and wanted to be able to put my hands on them to make sure they were real.


This one was outside as we were walking around so I made Evan stand by it. Hopefully they won't hunt us down for getting too close! LOL!!

After lots of "Can we go yet?", we came to this table where the kids could "dig" for fossils. Now we found something to keep Evan entertained!! I couldn't pull him away from this and even with the promise of ice cream afterwards there was still tears of "I'm not done!"

Some New Cards

I haven't had much scrappy mojo the last couple of weeks. I think it is because of the very large pile of stuff laying on my table and I just don't feel like cleaning it up so this weekend I sat down and made some cards with it trying to get rid of some of it!!

Some of them are for the card challenges at ScrapAttack. This one is for the Merry Unbirthday Challenge.

And these two are just more cards that I made. As you can see I had a bunch of Basic Grey Blitzen papers laying on my table. It is funny but I don't think I have used this holiday paper for anything holiday at all!!
