It is based on a sketch by Stacy at the ScrapShanty. I used it for March's Sketch Challenge. If you want to try to do a layout using it, I am giving away a little RAK if we get enough participation. Just go to www.scrapshanty.com to see more details.

Today is Ian's teacher's birthday and for her birthday some of the moms in the class and I got together and worked to make this quilt for her. We got each of the kids to trace their hands and sign their name on a sheet of paper. Then we transfered them to black fabric and ironed them onto the squares and traced their names onto their square. Then I took some fabric and sewed it all together to make this quilt for her. One of the other moms is making cupcakes for everyone and we are all going to surprise her today at 1:30 at the school. I really hope she likes it.

Ian is lucky number 7 too by the way and for being the youngest on his team he is the biggest kid out there!! I took way too many picture for his first game so I will try to edit some more and post them soon.
PS> the tile and carpet is done. it looks GORGEOUS!! no I haven't taken a picture yet but I will soon. only one problem, I shouldn't have been so nice and offered the guy a glass of water. I distracted him and he broke a tile while setting the tack strip for the carpet (that's the last time I am nice I swear). so now they are on the hunt for matching tile for my hallway which we were told when we looked for it last year that it has been discontinued. keep your fingers crossed that they find some.
I'm trying to finish up some of last week's memory planning while I wait to leave to pick Evan up from his Robotics Executive mee...
