California Vacation Day One - Jan 1st, 2014

We took the boys to Los Angeles California for part of winter break at school.  After a really long airplane ride, we enjoyed the beautiful weather and visited the Santa Monica Pier.

Snow Tubing

I don't like to ski and I don't think I have the balance to snow board (plus if my legs are tied together basically - how do I stand up when I fall down?), but I do like to go snow tubing!  Some friends took us up to a place they knew had it and we had a blast going up and down the hill.  They had some steep runs and they were icy and fast too!  Great way to end 2013!!!

Christmas Morning 2013

I saw someone make a time lapsed video with photos taken every 30 seconds and I wanted to try making one with pictures taken while the boys were opening their Christmas presents.  It turned out pretty good for my first time and I have things that I can improve on next year.

My little man turns 9 today.

Very excited to get some Legos and his very own iPad mini!!

Merry LEGO Christmas

There is always something each year, I remember Elf-ing myself and the rest of my family but here is one that Evan will love playing!

He was so happy to get presents from his friends.  We took some photos to make our own photo postcards as Thank You cards.

Evan's 9th Birthday Party

On Sunday afternoon, we celebrated Evan's 9th birthday at the Fort Myer Bowling Alley.  He had his brother and 11 other kids there with him to bowl and have some pizza and cupcakes.

First BBall Game

Ian played his first basketball game with the 7th grade boys on Saturday night.  They ended up losing by 2 points in the last couple of seconds.  But they shouldn't hang their heads because they played really well together!!

Cub Scouts and Santa

Evan's Pack had their Christmas Party Friday night.  They sang some songs, Santa came and brought all the boys Pinewood Derby Cars and they made planes out of popsicle sticks and then had milk and cookies.
