Spring-like Weather

After the snow last week, having the weather turn around and be 70 degrees outside is a real treat.  I know it won't stick around because we still have lots of winter left but no one told these little flowers that popped up under the neighbors tree today.

Boring Layout

I don't know what it is about this layout but it is so boring.  Maybe it is the uninspiring photo of me and the boys but for some reason everything I tried to make this layout pop just didn't work.  I finally just finished it and gave up.  At least it is done and I can move on.

Home Game

The Cougars played in their home gym today.  Ian has really been learning a lot this season and the one thing he can do better than anyone on his team is set a screen!!  His coach taught him and he has been practicing it all season and he has gotten really good at it!

 
The whole team is also getting really good at moving the ball around the court!

Another thing Ian is good at is rebounding - guess being tall has advantages!

And they are really all good sports!

2 Hour Delay

Our first of the year!  And hopefully our last because this little bit of snow is enough for me!!

Ian Gets Fouled

So Ian actually got the ball in the game the other day and actually tried to shoot it too for the first time and what happened.  Well that kid in front of him fouls him.  I'm sitting in the bleachers watching the whole scene unfold.  I can tell Ian was terrified to try to take a basket and now his worst fear, he has to try to make two free throws.  He even asked the ref if he really had to take the shots.  Poor baby.

He tried to make his shots but ended up missing.  He felt bad because in the end his team only lost by two and he just kept saying "If I had just made the shots".  I tried to tell him that even if he had made them he would have only tied the game and they could have still gotten beat.  I was so proud of him for trying to take a shot during the game.  I really wish he would focus on that instead of the loss!

Project Life 2013.

I'm going to try to keep up with 2013 Project Life style.  Maybe this way I can get current with all the scrapbooking that I am behind on since the last layout I did was from January 2008.

 Speaking of that layout I did from January 2008.  Here it is!  Look at how little Evan looks!

More basketball - week 2.

Ian got pretty aggressive and went after the ball quite a bit during the game.  He still didn't shoot and get any points but he did foul a kid!!

Basketball Season is officially on!!

Ian's first regular season basketball game was tonight.  Ian got bonked in the mouth good with the ball and I thought he was going to lose it but he did really good.

LORDY LORDY DARREN'S FORTY!!

Yesterday we spent the day together to celebrate Darren's 40th birthday!!  We spent it eating popcorn and watching the newest Batman movie.

In other news, I also started piano lessons on Wednesday!!  I'm a natural!!  LOL!!  I actually played Ode to Joy on my first day.  Granted it was the one hand/one note at a time version but I'm sticking to the fact that I played Ode to Joy during my first lesson so I must be a natural!!

Here are the pictures from our 2007 New Year's Eve party that I scrapped the other day.  Kimberlee must have been too shy still because I don't have any pictures of her at all.


I love the look on little Evan's face in the first one, he looks so serious telling the big kids about what's going to happen.  And the big kids -- they are totally into whatever was going on on the TV!!  I'm taking pictures so the two of us can't still be playing Guitar Hero!

I love the old fashioned feel to these photos!!

Happy 2013

My New Year's resolution is to run a mile a day. Got up and got started today and did my first mile. Couldn't run the whole thing but got it done in 14 minutes 58 seconds! Not too shabby for day one!
