4th of July
Another quick layout from Stuck?! Sketches. This is based on their April 1st sketch. Just used some odds and ends laying on my desk and cut out the title with my Silhouette.

Happy Easter Page
Found this picture of the boys visiting the Easter Bunny at the mall in San Antonio deep in my drawer of my desk. I decided not to let it get lost again and even though it isn't in order, scrapped it. I cut out the center of one sheet of decorative edge paper and set the other off the page a bit. I felt good to use up those decorative edge papers that I've been keeping in my stash for a very long time. I was lucky they matched so well. I cut out the bunny and the title with my Silhouette.

This layout is so simple...
...but man it took me forever to put it together for some reason. I cut out the circle borders on my silhouette and I also did the title letters on my silhouette. The font is Rockwell and I printed it with my sketch pens and then cut it out. After putting them on the paper they just didn't have enough weight so I took my gold foil marker and colored them in.
I don't know why after years of scrapbooking, I'm still finding it hard to put together a layout. I used to be able to rock out a couple a day and now layouts sit on my desk for a week while I try to find exactly what I want to use. I don't know what happened. I know I took a break while in Korea because I just didn't have the space to work and it really took a toll on my mojo but now that I have the space I feel like I can't find my groove.
I think one of the things I miss is the online scrapping message boards and groups. The small ones these days seem to be filled with people who have known each other for years and aren't looking for any new "friends" and the big ones are well just big. Is there anyone out there still who scrapbooks just to scrapbook and have fun and put their memories on paper and isn't trying to be all artsy about it?

Kindie Awards
Quick layout that I did using my silhouette while the boys played video games on a snow day. This layout is of Ian's kindergarten awards ceremony on his last day of school that year (2008).
