Another quick layout from Stuck?! Sketches.  This is based on their April 1st sketch.  Just used some odds and ends laying on my desk and cut out the title with my Silhouette.

Kung Fu Panda Paint Party

I blogged about this way back in 2008 when the boys got invited to go to a Kung Fu Panda Paint party at a little pottery studio with their friends.  They got to paint a panda and then had cookies and treats.  It was fun and nice to do on a hot summer day.  It is funny to see these old pictures because they have grown so much since 2008.

This layout is based on the April Week 3 sketch from Let's Get Sketchy.  I really liked the sketch but once I got started I couldn't figure out where to put my journaling.  So I feel like it is kind of just stuck on there.

Zoo Adventure

I created this layout using Stuck?! Sketches April 15th sketch.  I loved the sketch but really wanted to keep my 2 photos larger so I just lost some of the left side.  Thanks for looking!

WW2 Tank

Back in 2008, I blogged about a tank, sorry a Bradley, that Ian got for his birthday present from his grandparents.  You can read about it HERE.  I basically took the blog post and used it for the journaling.  Why didn't I think of that before!?!?

I used Let's Get Sketchy's April Week 1 sketch for this layout.  I had a lot more journaling than the sketch had space for and I felt like I was having problems balancing it all out on the layout.  I guess that's the problem with lots of journaling and why I don't do it often.  It is a whole lot easier to do the "just the facts, jack" type of journaling.  But overall, I am happy with how it turned out.

Let's Get Sketchy posted their new design team and I wasn't on the list.  Oh well, I tried but maybe I didn't stick close enough to the sketch.

Fall 2008 Soccer Photo

Found these photos of Ian from the fall of 2008 when he got his individual pictures done.  He loved playing on the Hawks team.  I based the layout off this sketch from Let's Get Sketchy.  I made the background by printing out the hexagons and then cutting out a couple of them.  Pretty simple.  I'm still loving my neon sharpies and coloring in those JBS Mercantile letters but I am almost out of them, I think that was my last "a".

Sorry about yesterday's rant.  I was a little upset about the military dragging their heels getting hubby's leave signed so we can go visit family over Spring Break.  As if planning a vacation isn't stressful enough the military likes to toy with us.  Supposedly they will be signed and in his hand tomorrow.  I don't know why it made me think about how many albums there are, maybe it is just there are so many people out there making memories and I'm worried about whether or not we can.

Well let's see if I can get another layout done tonight, I found his team photo along with this photo and I should do something with it before it gets lost in the drawer again!

Day at the Zoo

Playing with some more of my precious (I hear Gollum from the Lord of the Rings when ever I use that word) Scenic Route paper and I have to say I have been having fun using it.  I guess what they say about using it is better than just hoarding it.  Who would have guessed!!

This layout is based on a sketch from Let's Get Sketchy: Team A March Week 3.  I used two pictures instead of just one because I had two pictures from this event and I really didn't want to split it up into two layouts.  Again trying to be better about putting more pictures on a layout to help get caught up with some pictures (you can see these are from June 2008).

A friend of mine was also looking for some motivation to scrap again so I had given her the recipe of kraft paper, something typewritten, spring colors, photo corners, and stars.  It helped her get her mojo moving and create a layout and since I had given her the challenge I thought it was only fair to do it myself too.  :)
