Where in the World is Jen?

I went with my friend Elise to NYC. She had been in contact with one of the actresses from Guiding Light and they told her if she was in ever in NYC to contact them if she wanted a tour. Well one conversation led to another and we were on a plane to NYC!!! We stayed in the Theater District right on Times Square. It was so awesome, I don't think I stopped saying WOW the entire time we were there.
More pictures later as I get them editted.

Does She Get HD Reception With That Thing?

We are back from spring break and Beaker went under the knife today to have a cyst removed from between her toes. See her poor wittle bandage on her poor wittle paw!! She is walking ok except for the Elizabethen collar. Beaker is part Beagle meaning she walks with her nose to the ground ALWAYS and this collar is so in her way. I wish I could show you pictures of her trying to go potty outside, it took her over 15 minutes to finally do it because she couldn't sniff the ground around her. And the walls in my house will probably all need to be repainted because when she lays down she does the normal dog turning around 3 times before you lay but she likes to rub up against things when she does and her collar keeps hitting them.
The lady at the vet said we could take it off if we think she won't lick her paw but the whole reason we even found out she had a cyst was because she was keeping Darren and I awake at night licking her paw. This is going to be a long 2 weeks. Did I mention she can't reach her head down to the food in her dish or her water. UGH!!

Cyber Scrapping

It is always more fun to scrap when you know friends are scrapping right along side you, or at least at their own desks next to their computers where you can chat with them. Debbie, Kim and I all tried to hang out last Saturday and do some of the challenges over at ScrapSupply.com.
I got these 4 layouts done on Saturday.
Layout #1 = a journaling challenge to use the words "remember when" to start your journaling
Layout #2 = based on a sketch by Debi Boler
Layout #3 = a challenge to use really old stuff
Layout #4 = the gauntlet challenge to use a butterfly, ribbon, stamps and yellow paper.
I am really happy with how they all turned out!!

And here is what I did with it. I ended up changing the journaling a bit from the sketch.

Playdates are really fun!

This afternoon we met up with some friends for lunch and a little fun at the park. My friend snapped this picture of Evan and one of his best girls while they were playing. I ran it through photoshop to play tonight a little bit with some of the Pioneer Woman's actions. :)

Aren't they just cute!!

It's soccer mom time again

We had our first soccer game this weekend. Ian got to call the coin and won. So the Hawks got to kick first.Ian is definitely more aggressive and running much better this season. He still needs to learn to get in there and get the ball and not be so nice to the girls but he is having fun with his friends and that is what it is all about.

Cat in the Hat

This week both of the boys celebrated Dr Suess at school. Ian wore green on Wednesday for the book Green Eggs and Ham and Thursday he wore silly socks for Fox in Socks and today he wore a hat for the Cat in the Hat. Evan on Thursday got to eat green eggs and ham at school (he said he doesn't like green eggs he likes his yellow) and they made green slime and dressed up as the Cat in the hat. Here he is in his Cat in the Hat outfit.

Featured Member at CCG and a couple of more layouts.

I've been participating in a little monthly challenge at ScrapAttack and each month we have to say how many layouts we want to do and then we have to meet our goal each month.  My goal for Jan & Feb has been 8 layouts and I have exceeded it both months.  So I am sticking with 8 layouts again in Mar and hopefully I will get those done and more again.  Actually my goal was 2 per week and Mar has 5 weeks so hopefully I will get more than 10 done this month.

As for inspiration for these layouts.  The top one is a CCG challenge, #111.  I was impressed with my finding a picture other than the boys to use with the feminine color combo.  This week's color combo is great for me, I can't wait to try it.  And GUESS WHAT....  I am this week's featured member over there at Color Combos Galore.  Go check me out!!!  The bottom layout is a all cardstock challenge from ScrapAttack.

The last of the February Layouts.

I've done quite a few layouts in the last week and over this weekend but I haven't had a chance to share them.   These are all done for color challenges at CCG (#97, special color challenge, #102, & #110 respectively).
