And I'm Spent...

I finished the Harry Potter book this morning. I probably would have had it done a lot sooner but I made myself put it down and not ignore the world around me while I read it.

It was good. Now if you haven't read it click away now cause I don't want to spoil it for anyone so I will try really hard to be cryptic but I was so happy the way Snape's character ended up. I cried for about 2 chapters near the end.

I have to give her proper credit JK Rollings did an excellent job with the books and sad as I am to have Harry Potter over I can't wait until my kids are older and I can read it with them again.

The new Harry Potter book.

I have been reading it since I got back from my Chicago CHA vacation and it is really good so far but VERY different from the other ones. Amazingly I didn't finish it all yesterday, I was just so tired and found myself dozing off at parts since I didn't sleep really good while on the road and stuff. But I definately made up for it last night and I will try to get some more read today. I can't wait to see how it ends. Still hope Dumbledor is alive and I hope that Snape ends up a good guy in the end.

Poor neglected blog.

Man things have been running here and I have again been neglecting my blog.

What's Up...
1. I got a new keyboard for when I get my big screen TV/monitor and I am not sure I like it yet. It is a Microsoft one made for the media center and A. it is smaller than I am used to, B. has no number pad which I miss, and C. since I am still using my 19 inch monitor and this thing is made to sit on my lap it skips letters when I type. And another annoying thing is there is a button above the backspace that I keep hitting and it takes me back to the beginning of the line.

2. BIL and his wife were in town visiting. It was fun. We did the Riverwalk, Sea World, Splashtown. I have multiple sunburns to prove it.

3. Working around the house. We finally settled on a interior color we both like. It is called Pear and is a really light yellow. That will be the color of the walls inside most rooms. Also got new lights for a couple of rooms. New outlet and ligh switches. And best of all new faucets. Still need to dig up some trees in the back. And put in closet organizers.

4. Been dabbling with digital again. My friend Lacey told me to check out a call for a hybrid scrapper and while I would love to try out I don't think I am good enough with my digital skills. But it was a push to get me back playing with it which I needed.

Other than that I have been scrapping when I can and working with my oldest son on his ABCs and 123s gettting ready for kindergarten. I am also trying to work on making my own camera bag to take with me on my trip to CHA next week.

This is my new desktop. No I didn't make it, just the pictures. Downloaded the desktop at Shabby Princess one of my favorite digital scrapping places. These things are so simple all you have to do is know how to download it and then put your pictures in it.

Just not much new here.

Let's see it rained and we were stuck inside.
And it rained and we were stuck inside.
And it rained and we were stuck inside.
Did I mention that it has been raining.

At least when it rains I can scrap but I got to say I miss having my TV in my scrap room. Yes I have one in there but it isn't hooked up to the satelitte so I can either listen to Star Wars Playstation games (ala hubby and DS#1) or I can watch movies.

Well I have gotten a couple things done but nothing worthy to show you!!

I was playing with Flickr and Photobucket and Slide today and just trying to figure out which one I really liked best and while I was playing I made a new slide show with pictures of us from May 2007. Just changing it up a bit.

Enjoy the day, I am going to make cheese fries with the boys for lunch. Yummy!!

Just because I {HEART} the MUPPETS

I saw this on Nancy Jone's blog and just had to do it because I love love love the Muppets. So please excuse the second blog posting for today but I just had to!!

You Are Dr. Bunsen Honeydew

You take the title "mad scientist" to the extreme -with very scary things coming out of your lab.
And you've invented some pretty cool things, from a banana sharpener to a robot politician.
But while you're busy turning gold into cottage cheese, you need to watch out for poor little Beaker!
"Oh, that's very naughty, Beaker! Now you eat these paper clips this minute."

And did I ever mention my favorite character is Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and his crazy assistant Beaker - in fact lots of people actually thought our dog Beaker was named after him.

10 Things I Am Happy About

I am in a pretty good mood this morning, it is always that first couple of days that hubby is gone that I am pretty glum.

So today I thought I would share 10 things that make me happy. Believe me I am a pretty happy person so this list could go on and on.

1. Great new house. OK so it is new just to us it is actually an older home but it has really good bones and I can totally see the potential in it for making it ours.
2. Painted toenails. There is nothing that can make you happier than a pedicure.
3. The boys have each other to play with. And normally can play pretty happily in the same room giving me time to work out and scrap. Granted they are still in the same room as me but at least they just want to be near me. :)
4. A fenced in yard. It is really nice to let them play outside and not have to worry about them running into the street. I can sit on my covered porch and watch them with minimal worries.
5. New clothes. I got a bunch of it from the boys for my birthday. I love new clothes.
6. New scrapping supplies. Need I say more.
7. Watching the boys do "homework" as my oldest calls it. I love watching them create things with crayons and markers.
8. My big truck. As messy as hubby lets his get he always takes time to clean out my truck so it is as pretty inside as it is on the outside.
9. My little photo printer. So nice to be able to print pictures where ever I am. It was neat showing it to my mother in law. She thought it was the coolest ever.
10. The movie "Dude Where's My Car?". Hubby thinks this is the dumbest movie ever but it is one of my favorites. I love watching it while scrapping after the kids go to bed and hubby is gone cause I don't really have to pay attention to it I can just listen to it and laugh.

There will be no pictures.

Of course there will be no pictures in this blog because that would mean that I would have to take a picture of myself on my birthday and we'll I was depressed enough.

I am now 34 years and 1 day old. So in honor of my birthday I thought I would do a top 10 list. And this is just going to be a random list about me.

1. I am still just as fat as I was at 33.
2. I hate bugs, snakes and spiders. And since we now live here and the pest guys dropped off a flyer on the front door the other day I am going to add scorpions even though I haven't seen one just the fact that the pest guy is here to get rid of them is enough for me.
3. I hate water rides and roller coasters. Just having a news article about that little girl who had both feet amputated at 6 Flags cements this is a little deeper.
4. I don't like being in water where I can't see the bottom. Can we say scarred by the movie Jaws at an early age.
5. I like to organize things. And after they are organized I normally start over again to find an even better way.
6. I hate stupid things, like when you need help with your internet and you call them and they tell you to use their online customer service. Here's your sign!!
7. I love big trucks and cute little cars. My dream cars are my Yukon XL Denali and I would love to get a cute little light blue or pink convertible VW Bug.
8. I love my husband and my boys so much and I can't even imagine life without them.
9. I want to learn to sew better. My dream is to be the next Vera Wang. I would love to make wedding dresses.
10. My favorite movie is "Pride and Prejudice" on A&E you know the mini series. That movie has Colin Firth who is just dreamy!!

Now back to your regular life. I am going to count my gray hairs.

So I have been tagged (twice).

Melanie & Lacey tagged me to give me a kick in the behind to start blogging again. Good thing too cause I needed it!!

These are the rules…. each player starts with 7 random facts about themselves on their Blog. People who are tagged need to blog 7 facts about themselves and post the rules as well. At the end of their blog list 7 people you are tagging. Let them know that they are tagged by leaving them a comment. So, time for my 7 random facts:

1. I make lists for everything but never use them.
2. I {heart} Star Wars, even though I pretend not to like it too much in front of my family.
3. I love to organize things into cute little containers. I have a container fetish I think.
4. I have no musical or dance ability what-so-ever.
5. I can't swim.
6. I always loved moving but now that we have kids I hope that we can stay in one place for awhile.
7. I scrapbook for me and no one else.

Now who can I tag, since I don't have my favorites up here on this computer I am going to have to hunt a little bit.

Everyone is tagged who reads this but especially these 4 people, everyone else I know has already been tagged. I know I am slow!!!
1. Erin
2. Sibylle
3. Katie J.
4. Jen H.
