Page A Week Scrapping

My friend Kim and I started up a new scrapping site during the last week of Dec.  We decided we both needed a push to start scrapping again.  It seems a lot of our friends have gotten out of the swing of scrapping regularly.  We called it Paper Pushers because we want to push people to put photos on paper again.  We also want the site to be more about using up your stash and getting back to the simplier things in scrapping than it seems a lot of sites have gotten away from with the pressure on having the perfect photo and the latest and greatest techniques.  We want to see people making themselves happy in this hobby and making memories that can be passed on forever!!

Well I came up with the first challenge and it was a recipe challenge.  The challenge was to use the following items on a page (plus anything extra you want to add).
- 3 different patterned papers
- ribbon/fabric
- handwritten journaling
- 3 different embellishments

Here is my layout.  The first of 2011 for me!  My goal is to do two layouts a week and to use up the stash I brought with me to Korea so I can take less home than I brought!!
And I actually sat down and made 2 cards using up my scraps too!  AND I LIKE THEM!!

Now to just keep it up for the rest of the year!  If you are interested in joining Paper Pushers please leave me a message and I will send you an invite if you can't get in there to register!  We would love to have any scrapper of any level who wants to motivation to scrap!!

Jen, I love everything about these pages. What paper did you use and where did you get the awesome journaling on the cards? As always, your creativity is inspiring. Send me an invite for Paper Pushers. I need motivation to use up my stash!

Me me me:) Please invite me. I'm not sure how well I'll keep up unless I'm allowed to do digi, but I'd love the challenges for my own personal use if that's ok. And maybe, just maybe it'll be the kick I need to get going on my own formidable paper stash:)
