Ian, Evan and I did the 10 mile portion of the Alonzo Stagg Hike today. Ian's Boy Scout troop gets invited to participate every year and this year Darren decided he wanted to do the big daddy 50 mile hike, so I hiked with the kids on the smaller one.
The day pretty much was almost the worst you could have asked for, it could have only been worse if it has been snowing and I'm actually not sure that would have been worse because then it just would have been snowy and not HUGE puddles everywhere. There was no way to keep your feet dry on this hike. NONE!
But we did it, 10 miles in 3.5 hours! I'm pretty proud of us!
